SUMMARY:Neuroinclusive Leadership: The Competitive Advantage
DESCRIPTION:Neuroinclusive Leadership: The Competitive Advantage\nIn this powerful Cuppa.tv conversation\, we sit down with Aisling Smith to\nexplore what neuroinclusion really looks like when it moves beyond awareness\nand into action. \nTogether\, we unpack how workplaces can unlock neurodivergent brilliance\nwithout asking people to mask\, overextend\, or burn out. Aisling reframes\nneurodiversity as far more than a HR initiative. It is a performance\,\nwellbeing\, and retention strategy that benefits individuals\, teams\, and\norganisations alike. \nThis episode dives into a challenge many workplaces still struggle with: how\nto support neurodivergent employees to thrive in environments that were not\ndesigned with their needs in mind\, while also equipping leaders to create\nconditions where everyone can do their best work. Too often\, the burden of\nadaptation falls on neurodivergent professionals themselves. Aisling bridges\nboth sides\, offering practical tools for individuals and clear\, evidence\ninformed strategies for leaders. \nDrawing on lived experience as a late diagnosed AuDHD professional and parent\,\nalongside her award winning global work in neuroinclusion\, Aisling brings real\nworld insight that cuts through theory and stereotypes. She translates complex\nneuroscience into practical\, everyday actions leaders can take around\ncommunication\, workload design\, meetings\, sensory considerations\, and\npsychological safety. \nThis conversation will resonate with neurodivergent professionals\, leaders\, HR\nand People teams\, and anyone navigating change. The key takeaways focus on\nworking with your brain\, building neuroinclusive leadership practices\, and\ncreating systems that support clarity\, wellbeing\, and sustainable performance\nfor everyone. \nAt Cuppa\, we believe conversations create impact. This one shows how\nthoughtful\, practical conversations can help workplaces move from quiet\nsurvival to collective thriving. \nWant to pick the brain of Aisling Smith? SUMMARY:Stop Staying Small: The Inner Work Behind Bold Leadership with Petra Williams
DESCRIPTION:Stop Staying Small: The Inner Work Behind Bold Leadership\nIn this powerful episode of Cuppa.tv\, we sit down with Petra Williams to\nexplore what it really means to be more real with ourselves and with each\nother\, and why honest conversations are often the gateway to a more fulfilling\nlife and leadership journey. \nSo many people stay silent to avoid discomfort\, telling themselves they are\nchoosing peace. Yet beneath the surface\, that silence can create anxiety\,\nloneliness and a quiet sense of dissatisfaction. The job feels fine\, the\nrelationship is okay\, but life feels flat. There is a knowing that there is\nmore within us and more available to us\, and that living below our potential\ncomes at a cost. \nTogether\, we unpack the questions many people are carrying. Who am I at this\nstage of my life and career? Is this really me? Is this all there is? Petra\ninvites us to consider a new self image grounded in possibility\, courage and\npermission to play bigger\, even when it means rocking the boat. Because\nmeaningful change often begins with brave decisions. \nDrawing on Jungian shadow work and a deeply practical coaching approach\, Petra\nshares how real change happens from the inside out. When we work through our\ninner resistance\, clarity follows. Boundaries become easier. Assertiveness\nfeels natural. Action replaces overthinking. \nThis conversation is especially relevant for women in mid life leadership\,\nconsulting and business roles who carry a lot of responsibility and unspoken\nexpectations. \nYou will walk away with a fresh way to relate to yourself\, one where\nfulfilment and success can coexist\, and where honest conversations become a\npowerful catalyst for impact. \nWant to pick the brain of Petra Williams? SUMMARY:Stories that Stir
DESCRIPTION:Cuppa Co-Lab & [Stories that Stir®](https://www.storiesthatstir.com/event-\ndetails-registration/cuppa-co-lab-stories-that-stir-r-collaboration-belonging)\nCollaboration – BELONGING \nStories that Stir ® is delighted to be joining forces with Cuppa\nCo-Lab to bring you a special event designed to break down barriers\, stir\nconversation and inspire positive change. \nDetails: Come and listen to six Cuppa Collective storytellers\, who will\neach share their 10-minute raw and personal stories\, linked to the theme\nBELONGING\, in all its shapes and forms. \nCuppa Co-Lab is Cuppa TV’s purpose-built home in Barangaroo\, created to bring\npeople together for meaningful conversation and genuine collaboration. \nThe space has been designed to spark ideas\, deepen dialogue and create the\nkind of impact that extends well beyond the room. It’s where leaders\, creators\nand teams don’t just meet\, they truly connect and reflect. \nTickets include a delicious grazing table to enjoy before the storytelling\nbegins. Food allergies are catered to. \nMeet your Storytellers: \nBearing Witness – Peter Baines \nBaines would spend months leading the International operations in the\nidentification of 5395 bodies after the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami. Much of this\ntime was spent either dealing directly with the bodies of those who died or\nthe families left behind. During his time in Thailand he was given an\nultimatum that would irreversibly change his life. He found himself living in\na hostel without the financial means to support himself\, and at that point\, he\nfounded the charity Hands Across the Water to support children in Thailand\nleft without parents. \nPho-Real – Naomi Cao \nNaomi arrived in Australia as a four year old Vietnamese refugee. With no\nknowledge of English\, and a name that many could not pronounce\, she was\nbaptised into Australian culture at the school VFL Grand Final parade. She\nlearned to adapt fast. Years later she changed her name at uni to fit in. It\ndidn’t. Belonging \, as it turns out\, wasn’t that simple! \nLost Belonging – Adam Axford \nAdam shares a true story of a Southeast Asian village where he once felt more\nat home than anywhere else in the world. What began as a search for freedom\nbecame a reckoning with consequence\, exile and identity. Through vivid\nstorytelling and spoken word\, he explores what happens when a place you love\nno longer welcomes you back. \nSpared – Alfred Chidembo \nIn 1979\, amid Zimbabwe’s liberation war\, a pregnant mother gambled everything\non a perilous journey to the city\, crossing a road laced with hidden death\nwhile her children watched in silence. Weeks later\, the child she carried was\nborn. Decades on\, that boy\, Alfred\, would walk barefoot to school\, earn a PhD\nin Australia\, and return hope to his village through books. Living proof that\nsurvival sometimes carries a purpose. \nHome Within – Nerissa Trindade \nBorn in India and shaped by the silence that often surrounds difference\,\nNerissa grew up believing belonging was something to be earned. As a queer\nperson of colour building a new life in Australia\, they searched for\nacceptance in communities\, careers\, and labels\, until they discovered what\nthey had been seeking all along: a home within. \nShedding Labels – Hawanatu Bangura \nFrom Sierra Leone to Australia\, Hawanatu’s journey of belonging unfolds\nthrough the labels placed on her. Skin colour\, migration\, and expectation\nshape her world until she begins to peel them away. What remains is a\npowerful truth: belonging is not something you earn\, but something you choose. \n* Trigger warning: Story content may include sensitive topics such as\ntrauma\, suicide\, death etc. \n\nEvent Details: \n\nDate: Thursday 26th March\nTime: Doors open 6pm\nVenue: Cuppa Co-Lab Space\, Suite 2\, Level 1\, 300 Barangeroo Avenue\, International Towers\, Tower Three\nAdditional Information:Enter via door outside Wild Sage Cafe to the right of Woolworths Metro and look for the Cuppa Representative\n\nWatch here: https://www.storiesthatstir.com/event-details-registration/cuppa-co-lab-stories-that-stir-r-collaboration-belonging

SUMMARY:Everyone's a Teacher: Rethinking Workplace Learning with Maria Doyle
DESCRIPTION:Everyone’s a Teacher: Rethinking Workplace Learning\nIn this episode of Cuppa.tv\, we sit down with Maria Doyle to explore a\npowerful idea that challenges traditional workplace learning and leadership\nthinking: Everyone’s a teacher. \nWhether you are a leader\, manager\, specialist\, mentor\, parent\, coach\, or\nteammate\, if part of your role involves sharing knowledge\, this conversation\nis for you. Together\, we unpack why so much learning fails to land\, from death\nby PowerPoint and tick and flick online courses\, to chaotic induction\nprocesses and outdated\, top down\, lecture style workplace cultures. \nDrawing on over 30 years of international experience as a teacher\, learner\,\nteacher trainer\, instructional designer\, curriculum developer and education\nbased project manager\, Maria shares practical insights into what actually\nhelps people learn\, retain information\, and apply it in meaningful ways. This\nis not about more content\, but about better connection\, clearer intention\, and\nlearning experiences designed to create real change. \nThis conversation invites us to rethink how we transfer knowledge and the\nresponsibility we all carry when we do. It shows how learning can become\nengaging\, human and effective\, rather than something people endure. \nYou will walk away with practical takeaways on how to connect with your\naudience\, how to construct a learning experience that works every time\, and\nhow to communicate more effectively using learning resources.
