Lisa asked: How do you overcome a lack of motivation in tough times?

Kerri's Response:

I love this question as no matter who we are, there are always times that we lack motivation and it can hit us especially when things are not going well in our lives.

My advice would be to sit back and re-assess your goals. Take some time to work out where you want to be, what you want to achieve or have and then plan out how you’re going to get there.

Simply doing this process will have you focus on the positive and help you look forward, rather than thinking about your current situation.

Then, one of the MOST important questions you need to ask yourself is WHY do you want to have or achieve your goal?

Create a list of your WHYS, like on my Gold Medal Excellence plan. We called it “OUR PURPOSE” – the reasons we wanted to win Gold.

This then becomes your motivation!

Thanks for coming into our chatroom and all the best with our goals and dreams.

This time of year can bring about a lot of additional stress when it comes to festive finances, especially this year with the cost of living crisis that many of us are experiencing.

We've teamed up with our finance in residence and Cuppa course host, Betsy Westcott to bring you a quick guide on mastering holiday budgeting this festive season.

Please share this with anyone who you think may benefit from watching it. 🙏

PS: Need more support? Check out our 'Dealing with Financial Stress' self-study course co-hosted by David Koch and Betsy, which is available for as little as $99 for 3 months access. For more information, click here: https://cuppa.tv/pages/dealing-with-financial-stress

Hey Christine, We reached out to Ella and she had these lovely words to say. She also offered to have a conversation with you if you are up for it.

Here is what she emailed us:

I'm sorry to hear about the challenges you've been facing as a female non-tech founder.Dealing with issues like sexism and team dynamics can be incredibly frustrating. You've been supportive, patient, and directive, which are important qualities in a leader.Creating a more inclusive and effective work environment requires boundaries. As leaders, whatever we compromise will become the norm in the business, so it might be helpful to be aware of what we are normalising here. You have the power to shape the culture and values of your organisation.
